Where is the wedding taking place?
Our ceremony will take place at Waldrop Freewill Baptist Church in Haleyville inside the Sanctuary. Our reception will immediately follow inside the Fellowship Hall. The church does not show up on Apple Maps, so it is best to use Google Maps when getting directions.
What time is the wedding?
Our ceremony will start at 4:30 in the afternoon. Please arrive 15 minutes early to be seated. The reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
What should I wear?
The dress code is dressy casual. We would love our guests to feel comfortable and look sharp.
- Ideas for men: button-up shirts, polo shirts, khakis or slacks, and an optional tie.
- Ideas for women: Dresses or jumpsuits (like you would typically wear to church), A dressy top with a skirt, or a dressy top with nice pants.
Will anything be outdoors?
Dancing may be held outdoors depending on the number of guests we have due to space constraints. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes :)
How do I RSVP?
You can RSVP on our website. The link to RSVP is toward the bottom of the homepage, or you can click “RSVP” on the menu at the top. If you have any trouble, please reach out to Metty or Josiah using the phone numbers listed on your invitation.
When should I RSVP?
Please RSVP by Saturday, June 15th, so we can ensure everything is in order a week in advance of the wedding.
Can I bring a guest?
The back of your invitation lists a number of seats for which you can RSVP. We would kindly ask that you only RSVP up to that amount due to space constraints.
Where do I stay?
We have not reserved a hotel block as there are no hotels in Haleyville, but under our “places to stay” section, we have many different hotel options that are located at different lengths of time away from the church. We want to make it as easy for our guests to enjoy the celebration with us as possible!
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
There are two accessible entrances for wheelchairs. The middle glass doors to the church have indoor ramps that access the sanctuary and the fellowship hall. The sanctuary has handicap parking and an outdoor covered ramp to the right of the church.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
We love pictures! Please be sure to take all of the pictures you would like, as long as it is not during the ceremony. While it is a once in a lifetime event with the people we love, we would love to celebrate with you and see all of your beautiful faces instead of a phone during the ceremony.
